Recipients will receive one-half of the award in the fall, and one-half in the spring, pending continued full-time enrollment in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Applicants are considered for all awards, but may receive no more than one award. Eligibility Students must be pursuing majors in the College of Arts and Sciences. Minors only are not eligible. Students must have at least 12 hours completed at OSU prior to the spring semester of freshman year.

If two or more students have equal qualifications, preference will be given to the one showing greatest financial need. Joan Marie Tippeconnie Endowed Scholarship The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the University and must be majoring in the pre-medicine discipline.
The recipient must have a grade point average of at least 2. Recipients must be students who are enrolled members of a federally recognized American Indian tribe. Incoming freshmen, continuing or transfer students may be eligible for the award, provided they are in good standing with the University and have maintained a 3.
The scholarship may be continued for up to three years pending committee approval. Preference shall be given to a child of a current or past Dean's staff member. In the event there are no suitable applicants, the award may be made to a current member of the Dean's staff.
